Keeping Rhyme safe

Child Safety Standards.

Rhyme has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These are the standards we hold ourselves and everyone on Rhyme to, how we prevent and act on this kind of abuse, and how to reach us. They apply everywhere on Rhyme, to everyone, without exception.

Our zero-tolerance standard

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content or conduct that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor is strictly forbidden on Rhyme. There is no context in which it is allowed. We remove it on sight, terminate the accounts involved, preserve the relevant evidence, and report it to the appropriate authorities.

Specifically, the following are prohibited:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — images, video, text, audio, links, or generated/synthetic media.
  • Sexualization of minors, including sexualized depictions, descriptions, or commentary.
  • Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to make sexual contact with a minor.
  • Sextortion, or trading, requesting, or directing others to CSAE material.
  • Trafficking, endangerment, or any other form of child exploitation.

Minimum age

Rhyme is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age in your country, whichever is higher) to use Rhyme, as set out in our Terms of Service. Accounts we determine to belong to someone under that age are removed.

How we prevent and act on CSAE

We combine proactive and reactive measures:

  • Standards everyone agrees to. Our Terms of Service and community guidelines prohibit CSAE, and accepting them is a condition of using Rhyme.
  • Moderation. We use automated checks for the most clear-cut violations and human review for reports, with the ability to remove content and restrict or terminate accounts immediately.
  • Decisive account action. Accounts involved in CSAE are terminated, and we take steps to prevent the same actors from returning.
  • Evidence preservation. When we identify CSAM, we preserve the necessary records to support reporting to authorities.

Reporting a concern

Anyone can report child-safety concerns directly inside Rhyme. Every post, comment, and profile has a report/flag action — use it to flag content or a member for abuse, and the report goes to our moderation team for human review. You do not need an account to email us about an urgent concern.

To report a child-safety issue directly to us, contact [email protected]. We treat these reports as our highest priority.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement first.

Working with authorities

Rhyme complies with all relevant child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where it operates. When we become aware of apparent CSAM, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via its CyberTipline, and we cooperate with NCMEC, law enforcement, and other competent authorities, including regional and national bodies, as required by law.

You can report CSAE directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or, in the United States, by calling 1-800-843-5678. Reporting hotlines for other regions are listed by the INHOPE network.

Point of contact

Our designated point of contact for child-safety and CSAM-prevention matters is reachable at [email protected] and is able to speak to our prevention practices and compliance.
